The mission of All Caring Hospice is to understand and help guide our patients’ quest for a rewarding quality of life in their final days and to help their circle of family and friends support them in life and grieve for them in death. All Caring Hospice pledges to provide expert hospice care for the comfort and dignity of the terminally ill by addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We strive to provide individuals facing death and grief expert care that provides a sense of personal worth.
All Caring Hospice serves as a resource to the community for end-of-life care and related issues and seeks to provide care for all appropriate patients and families who need hospice services regardless of their ability to pay.
Anyone diagnosed with a limited life expectancy can receive All Caring Hospice care. A physician certifies the terminal illness and collaborates with the All Caring Hospice team for appropriate services, tailored to the patients needs and wishes. Many patients have cancer, but All Caring Hospice cares for those with any other terminal illness, including heart and lung disease, kidney disease, neurological disease, AIDS, Alzheimers, and other dementias.Family and friends also receive hospice care to help them support the patient and adapt to their loss. Alliance Hospice continues supporting families for over a year after the patients death.
Many people mistakenly believe that hospice patients are bed-bound, critically ill, and unable to continue living life to the fullest. In most cases, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Hospice celebrates life and supports your individual needs.
Contact the Admission Coordinator at All Caring Hospice with any questions about hospice or eligibility.
After receiving a diagnosis for limited life expectancy, patients make an important choice between hospice care and aggressive medical treatment, which have very different goals and methods.
Medical treatment regards death as a “failure”, and it focuses on the physical illness rather than the patient’s emotional and spiritual needs. It often requires intensive care in a clinical setting that diminishes the patient’s quality of life. Alliance Hospice, on the other hand, regards death as a natural phenomenon, and it focuses on enriching the quality of life in the remaining days.
All Caring Hospice care neither prolongs life nor hastens death, but relieves pain and physical discomfort so that the patient can better fulfill their emotional and spiritual wishes. Over 96% of the time, hospice care takes place in the home. Beyond the patient, All Caring Hospice cares for the circle of family and friends to help them support the patient’s wishes and adjust to their own grief and loss. All Caring Hospice bereavement care continues for over one year after the death.
Alliance Hospice operates hospice care and palliative care programs in Augusta, Georgia, North Augusta, South Carolina and other Georgia and South Carolina Communities. We are one of the nation’s premier providers of end-of-life care.
